Meeting Highlights

Gerry Mazur gave an inspired presentation of the RYLA and RYPEN programs both of which are supported by our Rotary Club. He presented the excellent video that the RYPEN students made at their camp this year and we could see how inspired they are from participating in this growth opportunity.

Nominations are being called for the Saint City Rotary Integrity Award. This award goes out to someone in our community who goes beyond the calll of duty but is not a Rotarian.

Ross Algar  reported on the success of our annual highway cleanup and bar-b-q.

Ross Algar reported that the ceremony for the beginning of construction of Rotary Park took place on Sept. 26. They broke ground at 10 am. The site has now been excavated- next week gravel will be packed and if weather holds out, the project will see completion by the end of the month. Thanks go out to Trevor Zaharas for helping in the negotiations and Red Oak is doing a great job with the work.
